The Girl With All the Gifts
Melanie is a very special girl. Or can she be called a girl at all? You see, Melanie is indeed a genius, very inquisitive, but she is also a special breed of zombie. Part of rounded up a little horde of infant zombies who literally ate through their mothers to be born. It made them different somehow. Smart, but do not let that deceive you, they WILL eat you.
The military research facility has a gel blocker for the skin that is issued to everyone, the kids can’t smell you as well and are civilized.
However, when the outside full of raging zombies overcomes the perimeter, it’s time to move. And Melanie has been just on the table to be… dissected. It was believed, due to her unique empathy and intelligence that the fungal zombie infection strain cure was within her brain.
Her beloved teacher tries to intervene, and soon thing set off into an off road trek to Beacon, supposedly Britain’s best fortress and research center. Of course with any good story, everything goes off the rails.
If you have seen the movie, please, I implore you to read the book. The movie, while touching on some things, does not do the book or author justice.
